Last month I?received?and sent a vegan food swap to Sasha of One Small Vegan. I enjoy her blog a lot because she?s always cooking something up, and it?s inspiring. I haven?t been cooking or baking as much as I?d like to, so it?s nice to see some encouraging and delicious treats on a regular basis.
After been whisked away to (not-so)far away lands for my birthday, I had to wait until I got back to Toronto to finally open up my swap pack from Sasha, and then upon coming back from our trip, I?immediately?caught the flu and wasn?t in much of a position to write anything about anything. So now I?m catching up.
Sasha made several things herself, like a delicious Orange Chocolate Chip Biscotti from Veganomicon and two things from a book I?ve been eyeing Vegan Food Gifts by Joni Marie Newman.
She included the recipe for Candied Nuts from Vegan Food Gifts which I?m going to have to try and make happen soon, they were delicious. I?m drinking one of the warm spicy teas she included right now.
Sasha also sent me a Chocolate Raspberry SweetLeaf (a stevia sweetner) which I?ve been curious about. Since I?ve removed most artificial?sweeteners?from my life, I?m excited to try this stevia based one.
And finally, in addition to a nice selection of teas, Sasha sent a Vega Maca Chocolate Bar which was delicious. I?ve tried their protein drinks, but I hadn?t seen the chocolate bars. Delicious!
Thanks Sasha! I hope you enjoyed your swap too!
